‘Why are you called 2851?’

We’re glad you asked. We like curiosity; it’s in our genes too.


Roupert – the storyteller – started out as a writer for print and digital media. 2851 (pronounced ‘twenty-eight fifty-one’) is the file number of the very first feature article he ever had published, way back in 2004.

Always with a keen interest in fashion and design – alongside that in-built natural curiosity – Roupert liked to write features that had a behind-the-scenes angle. Marrying his words with powerful imagery, he worked with a photographer to produce articles that told a story through both words and pictures. Publishing his first feature, filename 2851, signaled the start of a forward-thinking social media agency – the fruits of Roupert’s storytelling.
